Special Stitches Explained

  1. Magic Ring: Wrap yarn around your index finger twice to form a ring, insert hook under strands, pull up a loop, and ch 1 to secure.
  2. I-Cord Style Cord: A narrow 2-stitch wide tubular or flat single crochet strap worked in rows/rounds to create a sturdy, non-stretchy band.

Pattern Instructions

Section 1: Strap (Sage Green)

Using Sage Green, leave a 6-inch tail for assembly.
Row 1: Ch 4, working in the back bumps of the chain, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch, turn (3 sc).
Rows 2 to 50: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (3 sc).
At the end of Row 50, do not fasten off. Fold the strap in half to form a loop at the top, sl st through both the final row and the base chain edge to secure the loop. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew ends securely.

Section 2: Pastel Heart (Pastel Pink)

Make 1.
Using Pastel Pink, start with a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Inside magic ring work: (ch 2, 3 tr, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 2, sl st) into the ring. Pull ring tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch tail for attaching to the cord. (14 sts + ch spaces)

Section 3: Daisy Flower (White and Pastel Yellow)

Make 1.
Center: Using Pastel Yellow, start with a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in magic ring, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off Pastel Yellow. (5 sc)
Petals: Join White in any sc.
Rnd 2: *[Ch 4, work 2 tr in same sc, ch 4, sl st in same sc]*; repeat from * around in each of the remaining 4 sc (5 petals made). Fasten off, leaving a long tail. *(5 petals)*

Section 4: Star (Lavender)

Make 1.
Using Lavender, start with a magic ring.
Rnd 1: *[Ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st into magic ring]*; repeat from * 5 times total to form 5 star points. Pull magic ring tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch tail. *(5 points)*

✅ Checkpoint: You should now have 1 Sage Green strap, 1 Pastel Pink heart, 1 White and Pastel Yellow daisy, and 1 Lavender star.

Assembly

  1. Before closing the top loop of your Sage Green strap permanently, slide the Pastel Heart, Daisy Flower, and Star onto the strap body by passing the strap through the back loops or center openings of each charm.
  2. Arrange the charms vertically along the strap: Heart near the top loop, Daisy in the middle, and Star at the bottom.
  3. Use the remaining yarn tails from each charm to anchor them securely to the strap stitches so they do not slide around freely.

Finishing

Weave in all remaining loose ends securely on the wrong side of the charms and strap. Trim excess yarn.
